Art Masters @MSTA

Art Masters @MSTA

The students at MSTA are fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the Art Master’s program from the Meet the Masters company.  The Parent Teacher Cooperation and staff are committed to providing  art curriculum for the MSTA students.  Parents are encouraged to help during the art lessons.

The program is designed so that students are introduced to the work of 6 famous artists each year.  They learn, through lecture, about the artist’s life, culture and era as well as the genre/medium and preferred style.  All students participate in a hands on art lesson.  Student art work is proudly displayed in classrooms.

Students are eager to participate in these lessons and learn to use different mediums through this hands on experience.  Over the years, MSTA students have honed their artistic skills.  Several have had their art chosen for the annual Whittier Street Banner design contest.  Most recently, our budding artists participated in the in the Whiter City School District’s 2nd Annual Art Show at the Whittier Art Gallery.  Their work is begin recognized for their creativity and form.
